A man wielding a weapon near the Democratic Party of Korea central headquarters was captured by the police.

The Yeongdeungpo Police Station in Seoul stated that at around 11:20 a.m. on the 20th, they arrested a man in his 30s, referred to as A, for possession of a weapon in a public place near the Democratic Party of Korea headquarters in Yeouido.

According to the police, a member of the riot police noticed A, who was loitering nearby, and conducted a stop and search. As a result, items suspected to be a tactical knife and a gas-powered BB gun were discovered in A's bag.

The police are investigating the circumstances involving the man.
