The boy group SHINee will release a new single "Poet | Artist" on the 25th, the anniversary of their 17th debut.
According to SM Entertainment, SHINee's agency, this single will include two tracks: the title track and the song "Starlight."
The title track "Poet | Artist" is an electro-pop genre song that incorporates snare (a type of musical instrument) and reggae rhythms into the main theme of vocal melodies.
This song features lyrics and composition by member Jonghyun, who passed away in 2017, for SHINee. It conveys a message of breaking the mold and creating something new by applying literary and poetic license, as a poet and artist, to both artistic works and everyday life.
The new single will also be released as a physical album on the 26th, the day after the digital release.
