The Changwon LG Sakers basketball team is celebrating its first professional basketball championship in 28 years since its establishment, while LG Electronics is holding a special appliance event.
According to LG Electronics' newsroom on the 19th, LG Electronics will celebrate the LG Sakers' victory by hosting the 'LG Big Shot Festival' with appliance purchase benefits and prizes at its online brand shop and nationwide offline stores.
The online brand shop will offer special purchase benefits worth up to 280,000 won for 28 models, including refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, and TVs until the 26th.
A random drawing lucky raffle event will also run until the 21st. Through this event, prizes will be awarded including ▲LG Stand By Me 2 (1 person) ▲LG signed balls (7 people) ▲Kumho Retro Goods (20 people).
In nationwide offline stores like LG Best Shop, purchase benefits worth up to 280,000 won will also be offered for 17 models until the 26th. During this period, 500 customers who purchase appliances at LG Best Shop will be drawn to receive prizes including ▲LG Styler Objet Collection (1 person) ▲LG Whisen Objet Collection dehumidifier (3 people) ▲Naver Pay points (496 people).
The LG Sakers were founded in 1997 and have been operated under LG Electronics since the following year, 1998. Since 2022, LG Electronics Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jo Ju-wan has served as the team's owner, and Ryu Jae-cheol, head of the HS Business Division, has served as the sponsorship chairman.
Team owner Jo attended two matches during this professional basketball championship period to cheer on the players. He witnessed the third match held at the Changwon Indoor Gymnasium on the 9th and the seventh match at the Jamsil Student Gymnasium in Seoul on the 17th. Notably, he was present at the moment the LG Sakers secured their victory in the seventh match.
