On the 16th, the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office filed for a warrant against a woman in her 20s, referred to as A, who is charged with extortion, and a man in his 40s, referred to as B, who is charged with attempted extortion. The two were arrested the previous day at the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul while being investigated when the police applied for the warrant.

The Seoul Central District Court is expected to hold a pre-arrest interrogation (warrant review) for A and B as early as the 17th or early next week.

A, Son's ex-lover, is accused of extorting 300 million won by threatening Son with a claim that she would expose the fact of her pregnancy, sending him a photo of the fetus's ultrasound last June. It is reported that A later wrote a statement indicating that she would not disclose the pregnancy to the outside world. B, A's boyfriend, is known to have demanded 70 million won from Son's side in March of this year.

As the demands were repeated, Son did not comply and filed a complaint, leading to the arrest of the two on the 14th. The police secured related materials such as cellphones by conducting a search of their residences immediately after the arrest and have been investigating the circumstances of the crime and the authenticity of the materials.
