Yulchon introduced regulatory trends related to software supply chain management in the European Union (EU) and major countries during this seminar.

During the seminar, lawyer Kim Ik-hyun from Yulchon presented on the topic of "EU's Cyber Resilience Act and Major National Policy Trends." The Cyber Resilience Act stipulates security obligations for digital product manufacturers. For instance, it requires manufacturers to provide security updates for at least five years and to report any security incidents to authorities.

Lawyer Kim noted, "According to the Cyber Resilience Act, submitting an SBOM (Software Bill Of Materials) is mandatory to launch products in the European market," and added, "Failure to comply will result in severe penalties, so thorough preparation is necessary."

Following that, Professor Choi Yun-sung from Korea University’s SW AI Convergence Graduate School presented on "Software Supply Chain Security Regulations Facing Our Corporations," while lawyer Jung Sang-tae from Yulchon discussed "Software Licensing and Major Compliance Issues," and Kim Byeong-seon, vice president of the open-source solution and consulting company OSBC, spoke on "SBOM Promotion Strategies and Methodologies."

Yum Yong-pyo, managing representative lawyer of Yulchon, stated, "Through this seminar, we aim to assist domestic corporations in entering global markets, including Europe, by collectively considering global regulatory trends and key issues related to the software supply chain."
