All eight crew members aboard the 887th Fishing Boat, where a sinking accident occurred off Jeju, were rescued.

According to the Jeju Regional Coast Guard on the 13th, all eight crew members, including one Korean captain and seven Indonesian nationals, were rescued about two hours after the incident aboard the 887th Fishing Boat.

It was reported that two Chinese coast guard vessels near the accident site rescued all eight crew members of the 887th Fishing Boat. Furthermore, it was confirmed that all rescued crew members are not in life-threatening condition.

A representative of the Jeju Coast Guard noted, “We plan to send a letter of appreciation to the Chinese rescue authorities concerning this incident and the rescue effort.”
