As police have launched a full-scale investigation into the school violence video involving a middle school girl in Incheon, the middle school student accused of the assault has hinted at legal action, sparking controversy over the authenticity online.

On the 8th, a post presumed to be written by student A, who assaulted others in the video titled 'Incheon Songdo 11th grader school violence video,' spread across online communities and social media (SNS).

The writer said, “I am fully aware that I am wrong, no matter how many times, 100 or 1,000 times. So I am slowly accepting my punishment,” adding, “I didn’t realize that ruining someone’s life could be this easy.” They continued, “I sincerely apologize to those who may have been angry about my childish behavior in the past and to the victims who suffered.”

Additionally, they appealed, saying, “Receiving 36 calls a minute is basic, and there are so many texts, KakaoTalk messages, Telegram, and Instagram DMs coming in that it’s actually scary. I want to quietly accept my punishment and live peacefully, so please everyone, stop it now.”

They also added, “From this moment onward, if my photos or personal information are leaked, I will file complaints one by one,” and said, “I hope you won’t think I can’t find out. I hear everything through the kids. I want to receive my punishment quietly and regain my composure, so please help me with that. I ask.”

The incident occurred last November in a parking lot of an apartment complex in Yeonsu District, Incheon. Student A is accused of hitting her classmate, student B, seven times. This incident became public after a video titled 'Incheon Songdo 11th grader school violence video' spread on SNS on the 2nd.

The Incheon Yeonsu Police Station identified student A and charged her with assault without detention. It is reported that the victim initially did not report the assault but later reported student A and the students who filmed the incident as the video was uploaded online.

The Dongbu Education Support Office of Incheon City has also received a school violence report and will investigate the incident.
