A total of 306 preliminary Deputy Directors who passed the 5th level open competitive examination will receive training for 16 weeks to enter public service.
The National Human Resource Development Institute announced on the 7th that it held an entrance ceremony for the 70th new manager course (open recruitment) targeting preliminary Deputy Directors and conducted a visit to the National Cemetery.
The average age of the 5th level preliminary Deputy Directors who entered this time is 28 years. The youngest is 22, and the oldest is 42. The group consists of 199 men and 107 women. The job categories include 216 in administration and 90 in technical fields.
The training will be conducted from today until August 22 for a total of 16 weeks. An official from the human resource development institute noted, “This training is focused on the goal of nurturing new Deputy Directors who will lead the future of South Korea, internalizing the values of public service, developing job and policy planning abilities, and enhancing the leadership of mid-level managers.” They added, “The program has been designed to include the latest work techniques such as the use of artificial intelligence (AI).”
After the training, the preliminary Deputy Directors will undergo a four-week local practical training starting from August 23. They are expected to be appointed to various ministries thereafter.
