A man in his 30s, who is accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend, turned himself in to the police.
The Gyeonggi Icheon Police Department stated on the 4th that a man in his 30s, referred to as A, has been charged with murder. A is accused of killing his former lover, referred to as B, and her boyfriend, referred to as C, with a weapon in an officetel in Icheon City on that morning.
A reportedly confessed to his family about the crime and turned himself in to the police station accompanied by his father.
At around 9:08 a.m. that day, police discovered the bodies at the crime scene and conducted an on-site investigation. Authorities believe that A committed the crime out of resentment toward his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend based on A's statements.
However, as A is currently receiving treatment at a hospital, formal investigations have not yet been carried out; thus, the exact relationship between A and the victims has not been confirmed, police reported.
The police plan to investigate the motive and method of the crime as soon as A recovers and will apply for an arrest warrant.
