At around 4:10 p.m. on the 3rd, a magnitude 2.2 earthquake occurred in the seas 33 kilometers southeast of Dongnae-dong, Samcheok City, Gangwon Province.
According to the Gangwon Special Self-Governing Province Fire Department, the epicenter of this earthquake was at a latitude of 37.35 degrees north and a longitude of 129.52 degrees, with a depth of 12 kilometers.
As of 4:50 p.m. that day, no reports of damage or regretful notifications, such as 'I felt the tremor' had been received. Regretful notifications refer to reports indicating that tremors were detected.
The Korea Meteorological Administration predicted, 'There will be no damage from the earthquake.'
