Police have launched an investigation into a case in which an official of the Rebuilding Korea Party filed a complaint claiming to have been sexually assaulted by a superior.

The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency announced on the 1st that it has placed an important official of the Rebuilding Korea Party, identified as A, under investigation for alleged sexual misconduct involving abuse of power, as of the 28th of last month.

The victim, an official identified as B, filed a complaint against A at the Jongno Police Station in Seoul on the 28th of last month, and the case was immediately referred to the Seoul police.

B reportedly attached evidence, including witness testimonies, detailing that A made physical contact and sexually harassing remarks on multiple occasions over a period of 10 months.
