On the 10th of last month, police presented this to the Presidential Archives and are discussing the seizure of items and the scope of the warrant with the archives officials. It is also reported that police investigated officials from the Presidential Office, including employees from the Second Office responsible for the President's spouse.

Previously, the civic group Living Conditions Countermeasure Committee reported to the police that during the Moon Jae-in administration in March 2022, Kim was suspected of coercing the officials responsible for special operation expenses to purchase expensive clothing and accessories.

At that time, the Presidential Office stated, "We have never allocated and used state funds, such as special operation expenses, for the purpose of purchasing clothing as the President's spouse," and noted, "We covered the costs personally."
