A man in his 20s who broke into the shared accommodation of the idol group NewJeans and stole items has been indicted.

According to the legal community on the 1st, the Seoul Western District Prosecutors' Office indicted a man in his 20s, referred to as A, on charges of breaking and entering and theft for breaking into the NewJeans accommodation in Yongsan, Seoul, and stealing items on the 25th of last month.

A is accused of breaking into the NewJeans accommodation in Yongsan, Seoul, twice in December of last year and stealing items.

The NewJeans members are reported to have left the accommodation, claiming that their contract with the agency ADOR ended in November of last year.

Earlier, an online community post forecasted a terror attack targeting the NewJeans accommodation in August of last year. However, it has not been confirmed whether A was the one who posted this message.
