A passenger who touched the emergency door on a plane in flight was handed over to the local police.

According to the aviation industry on the 28th, at 9:48 a.m. on that day, a male passenger on AIR BUSAN flight BX337 (Airbus A320-200), which took off from Gimhae Airport in Busan heading to Yanji, was stopped by a crew member when he placed his hand on the emergency door.

The emergency door did not open, and the flight arrived safely at Yanji Airport at 12:38 p.m. (local time). The passenger is currently undergoing an investigation by local airport police.

An AIR BUSAN official said, "It is currently unclear whether the passenger was actually trying to open the emergency door or just placed his hand on it," and noted, "The crew acted quickly, ensuring the aircraft operated normally."

Recently, as incidents of passengers opening or attempting to open emergency doors on aircraft have continued, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport sent a notice requesting 11 airlines to strengthen safety measures for aircraft emergency exits.
