On that day, starting at 10:30 a.m., the Director General Lee Jung-jae of the Seoul Central District Court held a pre-arrest interrogation (substantial examination of the warrant) for Mr. Lee, who is accused of violating the Cannabis Control Act, and issued an arrest warrant, stating that "there is a concern he might flee."

Mr. Lee was apprehended by police under the suspicion of attempting to locate liquid cannabis buried in a flower bed in a residential area of Seocho District in October of last year using a so-called "throwing" method, but he did not succeed.

Subsequently, police received a forensic analysis from the National Forensic Service indicating positive results for cannabis from Mr. Lee's hair, and on the 18th, they applied for an arrest warrant. The prosecution submitted a request for an arrest warrant for Mr. Lee to the court on the same day.

It is known that Mr. Lee had previously been transferred to the prosecution on cannabis charges but was not prosecuted.

Meanwhile, the police stated that they had received from the National Forensic Service the results of a drug test indicating a "positive response for cannabis" for Ms. A, identified as Mr. Lee's accomplice.
