The Ministry of Education announced on the 22nd that it has published the "Digital Sexual Violence SOS Guide."
The Digital Sexual Violence SOS Guide has been prepared to protect students from the risks of digital sexual violence such as deepfake sexual crimes and illegal filming.
The guide includes instructions on how to respond if one is a victim. For instance, in the case of suffering from a deepfake sexual crime, it advises securing evidence and reporting it to the police.
Additionally, it provides instructions on how to act when a friend or third party is a victim. It also includes content on taking responsibility for wrongful actions if they have committed harmful behavior and ensuring such actions are not repeated.
The guide consists of a total of five types categorized by target. This includes three types for students, such as elementary school students, middle and high school students, and college students, as well as one type for teachers and one type for parents (guardians).
Education Ministry Director General for Policy Planning Bae Dong-in said, "We will do our best to support schools in becoming safe spaces from digital sexual violence."
