YouTube mukbang creator Jjyung (real name Park Jeong-won) appeared before the police on the 16th, but refused to be questioned and returned home after 40 minutes. The police noted, "There were some misunderstandings." They also stated they are communicating with Jjyung's side.

A Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency official stated during a regular briefing on the 21st that the investigation team has been reassigned regarding the case in which Jjyung accused the representative of the YouTube channel "Garosero Research Institute," Kim Se-hee, of stalking and other charges. "We regret the controversy that has arisen between both parties," the official said. He added, "To eliminate doubts about the integrity of the investigation and to comprehensively assess the case, we have reassigned the investigation team to the Gangnam Police Station's Criminal Investigation Division 2."

Acting Chief Park Hyun-soo of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency stated, "The entire case related to Jjyung has been reassigned. Since Jjyung's side is questioning the integrity of the investigation, we also need to ensure the efficiency of the investigation," adding, "We will conduct a fair and prompt investigation."

The police plan to refer to the decision made by the Seoul Central District Court's Civil Division 51 (Chief Judge Park Sang-eon) on the 17th, which partially granted Jjyung's request for a provisional injunction to delete and prohibit the posting of video materials against Gaseyeon and its representative Kim.

A Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency official stated, "Since it is a civil lawsuit ruling, it will also be referenced in the investigation," adding, "The case itself initially had a decision of non-prosecution, but the prosecution requested supplementary investigations, so we plan to consider that aspect when determining the presence or absence of charges."

Earlier, Jjyung appeared at the Gangnam Police Station as a complainant at around 8:53 a.m. on the 16th, but left and returned home around 9:33 a.m. Jjyung's lawyer, Kim Tae-yeon, met with reporters and said, "The police seemed to not view Jjyung as a victim at all," adding, "It seemed they had no intention of protecting the victim, which raised doubts about whether it was appropriate for them to conduct the investigation through an investigator."

Jjyung also said, "I hope the investigation will be conducted a bit more fairly as my lawyer said," and expressed, "I hope there will be good results to prevent more victims from arising in the future." When appearing at the police station, they stated, "(Kim Se-hee) has been providing false information and harassing those around me since July last year, and it was difficult that a non-prosecution decision was made regarding this matter," adding, "I will adequately clarify that aspect and communicate to achieve better results."

Kim was sued for claiming allegations about Jjyung's private life on his YouTube channel on July 30 last year and for pressuring Jjyung for clarification while repeatedly posting Jjyung's photos and posts.

The police determined that due to Jjyung's submission of a withdrawal of complaint in February, they would dismiss the charges regarding Kim's violation of the Information and Communications Network Act and threats as "dismissed," and regarding the violation of the Stalking Punishment Act, they determined it as non-indictable due to insufficient evidence. It is known that Jjyung subsequently filed an objection, and the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office requested supplementary investigations from the police on the 14th of last month regarding Kim's case.
