According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 21st, rain will start from Jeju Island that night and will fall in most areas nationwide on the morning of the 22nd. The rain is expected to gradually stop after 9 p.m. on the 22nd.
The expected precipitation is ▲Seoul metropolitan area 10–50 mm ▲Gangwon 10–50 mm ▲Chungcheong 10–40 mm ▲Jeolla 20–80 mm ▲Gyeongsang 20–80 mm ▲Jeju 30–120 mm, etc. In particular, Jeju Island is expected to receive heavy rain of 20–30 mm per hour on the 22nd, requiring caution. Heavy rain of 10–20 mm per hour is also expected, especially around the southern coast and Jirisan.
On the morning of the 22nd, the lowest temperature will be between 11 and 17 degrees, and the highest temperature in the afternoon will be between 16 and 21 degrees. This is similar to or slightly higher than the average.
From that night until dawn on the 22nd, there will be places with visibility of less than 1 km, mainly in the western regions. It is also forecast that dense fog with visibility of less than 200 m will occur in the Yellow Sea, the South Sea, and island areas, accompanied by drizzling rain.
In most areas nationwide, strong winds with gusts around 55 km/h are expected on the 22nd. There is a possibility that a strong wind advisory will be issued as very strong winds of up to 70 km/h may blow, especially along the coast of Jeollanam-do and Gyeongsangnam-do and in Jeju.
Strong winds will also blow over most of the seas, with waves rising very high to 1.5–4 m, which may lead to a storm warning being issued. An official from the Korea Meteorological Administration noted, “There will be gusts and thunderstorms in most of the seas on the 22nd,” and urged the public to be cautious of safety accidents at sea.
