Pastor Jeon Gwang-hoon announced on the 19th that he will run for president as a candidate for the Free Unification Party.

Pastor Jeon said at the 'Gwanghwamun National Convention' organized by the Korea Righting Movement Headquarters (Daegukbon) held in Gwanghwamun, Seoul, that he is the only one who can execute the dismantling of the Corruption Investigation Office for High-ranking Officials (CIO), the National Election Commission, the expulsion of the 8 Constitutional Court justices who unanimously dismissed former President Yoon Suk-yeol, and the dissolution of the National Assembly, stating, "That is why I intend to run for president."

Pastor Jeon remarked, "If it weren't for the Gwanghwamun (rally), it would have been absolutely impossible for President Yoon Suk-yeol to win by 240,000 votes," and added, "Nevertheless, the 8 preliminary candidates from the People Power Party are acting out and telling me not to get close to Gwanghwamun. So I am running for president."

He continued, "Let me show you the taste once," and said, "Rather, if I had elected Lee Jae-myung (former leader of the Democratic Party of Korea), I could have done it, but none of you from the People Power Party will ever be elected."

Pastor Jeon hurled explicit insults at the 8 candidates for the People Power Party's presidential primary, asking, "Do you have organizational strength? Do you have organizational strength like Gwanghwamun?" He stated that he would hold a national convention to select the presidential candidate of the Free Unification Party and said he rented a gymnasium in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province.

Among the candidates for the People Power Party's presidential primary, lawmakers Ahn Cheol-soo and Yoo Jeong-bok, and former leader Han Dong-hoon demanded that former President Yoon leave the party. Pastor Jeon stated, "A former president may not have the ability to create the next president, but they have the ability to hinder. So, what, should I ask President Yoon to leave the party?" and added, "Okay, I will bring him to the Free Unification Party."

At the Gwanghwamun rally organized by Daegukbon, approximately 15,000 people gathered at 3 p.m. according to unofficial police estimates, despite the rain and strong winds. They shouted slogans including 'Yoon Again' and 'Yoon Suk-yeol is coming back.'
