As rumors continue to swirl around Theborn Korea, led by CEO Baek Jong-won, the president of 'Yeondon,' Kim Eung-seo, noted, "Thanks to CEO Baek's help, I am living happily."
On the 18th, Kim posted on his Instagram account, "There are a lot of strange rumors lately about my relationship with CEO Baek."
Kim said, "I saw a post stating that our profit compared to sales in 2021 is significantly low. That is because the situation didn't allow us to increase sales due to COVID-19," adding, "However, it was not a situation where we could reduce expenditure either. Therefore, I was never upset about it."
He continued, "After that, thanks to CEO Baek's help, we moved to a larger store, and now sales and profits have greatly increased," and said, "Yeondon has been receiving significant help from CEO Baek both before and now." He concluded, "Now, thanks to CEO Baek's help, I have settled well in Jeju Island and am living happily."
Yeondon rose to fame after being featured on the SBS television program 'Golmok Restaurant,' which CEO Baek appeared on, and then relocated to Jeju Island. Theborn Korea has started a franchise business called 'Yeondon Bolkatsu' using the Yeondon name.
Recently, Kim visited Andong in Gyeongbuk, which suffered damage from a major forest fire, and volunteered by cooking meals for disaster victims and firefighting personnel at a free meal service set up by Theborn Korea.
As CEO Baek and Theborn Korea became embroiled in various controversies, some YouTube channels and online communities raised suspicions that "CEO Baek exploited Yeondon to revitalize Theborn Hotel and exploited Kim."
