A report of a suspicious object believed to be explosives was received under the Jamsil Bridge in Seoul, leading to a temporary restriction of the area. The fire authorities concluded it was a false report after examining the scene.

According to police and fire authorities, a report was received around 3:30 p.m. on the 18th regarding nine sacks suspected to contain explosives located under the northern end of the Jamsil Bridge in the Gwangjin District of Seoul.

Police and fire officials dispatched personnel to the scene upon receiving the report to verify the presence of explosives. After deploying the police special forces and detection dogs, it was determined that the contents of the sacks were ordinary cement.

Police and fire officials lifted the scene restriction and withdrew around 6 p.m. that day.
