The police have reassigned the case related to YouTuber "Jjuyang" (real name Park Jung-won), who was accused of stalking the representative of Garosero Research Institute, Kim Se-ui.

According to the police on the 18th, the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul has assigned a total of four cases related to Jjuyang to different departments than before. It appears that the reassignment was decided after Jjuyang's lawyer, Kim Tae-yeon, submitted a motion for the disqualification of the existing investigators, considering fairness and efficiency.

Jjuyang appeared at the Gangnam Police Station as a complainant around 8:47 a.m. on the 16th. However, about 40 minutes later, at around 9:35 a.m., she left the police station, refusing to undergo questioning. This was because the investigating officer did not consider Jjuyang a victim and seemed to lack any intent to protect her.

In connection with her statement that she had to work in entertainment establishments due to assault from her ex-boyfriend, Kim Se-ui continued to broadcast, claiming it was not true. Last July, Jjuyang filed charges for violation of the Stalking Punishment Act and for threats and coercion.

The police decided not to prosecute Kim Se-ui in February due to insufficient evidence; however, the prosecution accepted Jjuyang's appeal and requested the police to conduct supplementary investigations.
