A collision occurred between a KTX train and a passenger car at the northern railroad crossing of Seobinggo Station in Yongsan District, Seoul.
According to the fire authorities on the 18th, the passenger car collided with a passing train around 11:20 p.m. the previous day while attempting to cross the railroad crossing. The driver reportedly misinterpreted the signal from the attendant.
The fire authorities deployed 9 units of equipment and 33 personnel to the scene to take action.
The front of the passenger car was damaged in the accident, but there were no casualties. The train involved in the accident resumed operation around 11:42 p.m., approximately 20 minutes after inspection. This incident caused delays for 4 electric trains.
Police are investigating the exact circumstances of the accident involving the driver.
