On the 18th, the Suwon Police Station in Seoul stated that they are investigating two men who approached an 8-year-old second-grade male student, referred to as A, near an elementary school in Yeoksam-dong, Gangnam District.

They reportedly asked A, 'Would you like a drink?' near a large mart opposite the school around 6:20 p.m. on the 16th, but it was confirmed that A refused.

According to the police, they stated, 'They told A, who was standing close to the road, that it was dangerous,' and 'I asked if they wanted a drink when I saw they were out of breath.'

The police confirmed after checking the closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage of the scene that 'no criminal suspicious activities were identified, and considering residential relationships, it was judged that there were no criminal charges, so they were allowed to go home.'

A report was received that an elementary school student on their way home was nearly harmed at an elementary school in Gaepo-dong, Gangnam District, which is 2 kilometers away from this location on the 16th.

According to the police, around 12:30 p.m. on that day, an elderly man at a bus stop near the school grabbed the strap of an elementary school 2nd-grade male student's bag, claiming 'it's mine,' but the student shook it off and ran away. The elderly man is reported to be suffering from stage 3 dementia.
