Five members of the group LOONA have won a partial victory in a lawsuit against their agency over the validity of their exclusive contracts.

According to the legal community on the 17th, the Seoul Northern District Court Civil Division 12 (Director General Cho Seung-woo) ruled in favor of the plaintiffs in the lawsuit filed by Go Won (real name Park Chae-won), Yeojin (Lim Yeojin), Olivia Hye (Son Hye-joo), Yves (Hana Su-young), and Hasul (Jo Ha-seul) against their agency Blockberry Creative to confirm the invalidity of their exclusive contracts.

The court dismissed all primary claims but stated, "It is confirmed that the subsidiary agreement made between the plaintiffs and the defendant is not valid." The members of LOONA reportedly claimed the invalidity of their exclusive contracts in the primary claim, and requested termination of the exclusive contracts in the alternative claim. The defendant (agency) was obligated to bear the expenses of the lawsuit.

LOONA debuted in 2017 with a total of 12 members. Following the departure of member Chuu (Kim Ji-woo) in 2022, the remaining members have been involved in legal disputes with their agency. Chuu won the final victory in June of last year in a lawsuit confirming the non-existence of her exclusive contract, and Kim Lip, JinSol, Choi Ri, and HeeJin also won in the suspension of effectiveness of the exclusive contract injunction. With the partial victories of the remaining members, all LOONA members are set to leave Blockberry Creative.
