Incheon, southern Gyeonggi, and northern Chungnam will experience rain early on the 17th (midnight to 3 a.m.). From the afternoon to the night, there will be rain showers in the inland regions and mountains of Gangwon. In regions where it rains, strong winds along with thunder and lightning may occur. Additionally, there could be raindrops of less than 0.1 mm in other areas like the metropolitan area and Chungnam.
Dust from the Gobi Desert is moving into the airspace of South Korea, and in areas where it rains, there is a possibility that the rain will mix with the dust.
In most areas nationwide, strong winds could blow at speeds around 55 km/h. In particular, in the northern and central mountainous areas of Jeju Island, where strong wind advisories are in effect, very strong winds are expected to blow at speeds of 70 to 90 km/h.
Strong winds (30 to 50 km/h) will also blow at sea until the 18th, with waves rising to 1 to 3 meters. Additionally, there may be sea fog in most maritime areas, so passengers using maritime transport should check navigation information in advance.
