Members of the girl group NewJeans filed an immediate appeal after their objection to the court's independent activity ban ruling was rejected. As a result, the case is set for a 'second round' at the Seoul High Court.

On the 16th, Shin & Kim LLC, representing NewJeans members (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haein, HAEIN), issued a press release stating, "Today, the court that made the original provisional ruling confirmed the original decision, and thus we have submitted an immediate appeal." They added, "We will faithfully engage in the legal procedures ahead and will do our utmost to ensure that the facts are clarified."

Previously, the Seoul Central District Court's Civil Division 50 (Chief Judge Kim Sang-hoon) stated regarding the interim appeal from the NewJeans members, "Considering the claims and evidence that the debtors emphasized through their objections and reviewing the records, we find that the provisional ruling in this case is justified," maintaining the earlier decision to grant the provisional remedy.

On the 21st of last month, the court accepted ADOR's application for a provisional remedy to 'preserve the status of the agency and prohibit the conclusion of advertising contracts,' making a decision to fully grant it.

The court ruled, "It is difficult to see that ADOR has sufficiently proven that there were breaches of significant obligations under the exclusive contract, leading to termination of the exclusive contract, or that the trust relationship foundational to the exclusive contract has been destroyed to an irreparable extent." Therefore, the NewJeans members filed an objection on the same day, but it was not accepted.
