On the 15th, the Ministry of Employment and Labor held an "Ultra-Large AI Promotion Council Invitation Meeting" at Twelve Labs in Yongsan, Seoul. The meeting was attended by Vice Minister Kim Min-seok, KOSA Vice President Seo Seong-il, Twelve Labs CEO Lee Jae-sung, Naver Executive Son Ji-yun, and ESTsoft CEO Jeong Sang-won.

At the meeting, corporations expressed concerns that securing excellent AI talent on-site is difficult. Vice President Seo Seong-il noted, "More than 10,000 AI talent shortages are expected this year," adding that "focus should be on cultivating practical talent centered on the field and that training programs for existing employees should expand due to changes in job roles brought on by AI adoption."

Additionally, the industry demanded the Ministry of Employment and Labor to support ▲ high-quality AI education and training, ▲ policy support for the influx of outstanding AI talent into domestic corporations, and ▲ the creation of an engaging work environment for AI research and development personnel.

Vice Minister Kim Min-seok said, "The Ministry of Employment and Labor will actively work to resolve the difficulties faced by AI corporations based on the opinions discussed."
