Singer and actor Lee Seung-gi has recently been a victim of photo theft on an internet investment site, prompting his agency to take legal action.
The agency Big Planet Made Entertainment noted on the 15th, "It has been confirmed that the portrait rights of our artist Lee Seung-gi were unlawfully used and false advertising was conducted on a recent internet investment site," urging the public to be cautious.
According to the agency, the site has been inducing investments with phrases like "friend recommendation" and "investor recruitment," and it was reported that the photos were used without permission as if Lee Seung-gi were a model for the site.
Big Planet Made Entertainment has stated that it is sending a letter of formal notice to the site operator and is proceeding with all civil and criminal legal procedures, including filing a lawsuit.
Big Planet Made Entertainment emphasized, "Lee Seung-gi has no association with the company in question," and urged the public to be particularly cautious about unauthorized use of portrait rights and investment inducement.
