According to the legal community on the 15th, GAR held the 'GAR Awards 2025' at the Hôtel Du Collectionneur in Paris, France, on the 10th (local time) and announced the rankings of the world's top 30 international arbitration law firms. Peter & Kim ranked 26th.

Since its establishment in 2019, Peter & Kim has been selected as one of the top 30 law firms by GAR in 2021 (26th place). It subsequently recorded rankings of 16th in 2022, 21st in 2023, and 31st in 2024.

GAR evaluated Peter & Kim as effectively handling complex and high-value arbitration cases worldwide. It also noted that it is a law firm demonstrating outstanding efficiency and expertise with a small team.

GAR annually evaluates international arbitration law firms worldwide and selects the top 30. The evaluation considers the number of international arbitration cases conducted over the year, the frequency of hearings, the number of cases where affiliated lawyers act as arbitrators, and the claims amounts of ongoing cases.

Peter & Kim represented Affinity in a dispute regarding a put option between Chairman Shin Chang-jae of Kyobo Life Insurance and a private equity investor consortium. This case effectively concluded in favor of Affinity when the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) ruled last December for Chairman Shin to 'designate an external organization to determine the put option price within 30 days.'

Currently, Peter & Kim is handling an international arbitration case with Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power regarding additional construction costs for the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant in the United Arab Emirates, representing Korea Electric Power Corporation.

Managing Partner Kim Gap-yu stated, 'We will continuously develop and grow with the goal of becoming the world's top international arbitration law firm.'
