The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 13th that it will conduct the '2025 concentrated safety inspection,' involving central government ministries, local governments, public institutions, and citizens, from the 14th to June 13.
This year, the number of safety inspection targets totals 22,884 locations. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety selected the inspection targets primarily focusing on multi-use facilities, lodging facilities, nursing facilities, and construction sites, which have a high potential for accidents or are of great public interest. It is noted that facilities for which citizens directly requested inspections through the 'safety bulletin' are also included.
The inspections will involve private experts. For facilities that are difficult to access or require precise inspections, advanced equipment such as drones, ultrasonic detectors, and thermal cameras will be utilized.
Inspection results are expected to be registered in real-time on-site through a mobile application. The Ministry of the Interior and Safety stated that if any risks are identified, minor issues will be promptly corrected on-site, and if repairs or detailed safety diagnoses are needed, quick follow-up actions will be taken after emergency measures.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety also plans to launch a 'voluntary safety inspection campaign' involving local governments and residents during the inspection period.
