The Ministry of Education announced on the 10th that it has selected seven projects from the first round of proposals for the school complex facility project.

The school complex facility project aims to build spaces that can be used jointly by students and residents in areas lacking educational and cultural facilities. A total of 87 projects have been selected since 2023.

The selected locations for this proposal are ▲Gangseo District in Seoul ▲Buk District in Daegu ▲Gangneung City in Gangwon ▲Imsil County in North Jeolla ▲Jecheon City in North Chungcheong ▲Eumseong County in North Chungcheong ▲Danyang County in North Chungcheong.

The Ministry of Education plans to support a total of 78.1 billion won for the projects being promoted in these seven regions, which is 43.2% of the total project cost of 180.5 billion won.

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Lee Ju-ho said, “We will support the installation of school complex facilities in all local governments,” and “I ask for your great interest so that local governments and education offices can actively collaborate to discover various best practices.”
