Acting Prime Minister Han Duck-soo appointed a successor to the Constitutional Court judge, which Lee Jae-myung, leader of the Democratic Party, said on the 8th, "It seems he is under the impression that he has become president."

On that day, after completing a morning hearing for the Daejang-dong, Wirye, Baekhyeon-dong, and Seongnam FC cases in the Criminal Division 33 of the Seoul Central District Court (Chief Judge Lee Jin-gwan), Lee responded to reporters' questions about his stance on the nomination of Lee Wan-kyu, Director General of the Legislation Ministry, and Ham Sang-hoon, Chief Judge of the Seoul High Court.

Lee noted, "The Prime Minister does not have such authority. It seems he has gone overboard." He further remarked, "Just because a rabbit enters a tiger's den, it doesn't turn into a tiger." He added, "The composition of the Constitutional Court is established by the elected president and the elected National Assembly nominating three members each, while the neutral Supreme Court appoints three members to make up the court."
