A joint investigation to determine the cause of the helicopter accident that occurred at the Daegu Buk District wildfire suppression site will take place on the 7th.

According to Daegu Buk District and others, the black box of the crashed helicopter is reported to have been completely burned. The joint investigation on the 7th will involve the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport and the police.

It is reported that the relevant agencies will hold a meeting around 9:30 a.m. at the Buk District Office prior to the joint investigation.

Daegu Buk District has decided to request an investigation from the police to clarify the circumstances surrounding the wildfire.

Earlier, at around 3:12 p.m. on the 6th, a rented helicopter that was engaged in firefighting efforts at a wildfire site in Seobyeon-dong, Daegu, crashed near the scene. The accident resulted in the death of the helicopter pilot, Namsung A (74).
