The Ministry of Employment and Labor noted on the 6th that it will accept applications for the 'Autonomous Improvement Support Project for Working Conditions' targeting small business sites starting from the 7th.

This project supports small business sites in verifying compliance with labor regulations, such as the Labor Standards Act, and improving work environments through visits by certified labor consultants and other experts. Establishments with 5 to 29 employees can participate in the project and choose between 'basic labor order self-checks' and 'vulnerable area consulting.'

The application method and support details for participation in the project can be found on the Labor Portal.

Business sites that receive self-checks and correct all violations will be exempt from regular labor inspections in the following year.

Kim Yoo-jin, head of the Labor Policy Office at the Ministry of Employment and Labor, said, “Given the current economic conditions, self-employed individuals and small business owners are facing significant difficulties, so the government will actively support them to prevent disadvantages caused by a lack of knowledge about labor laws,” adding, “I hope that the basic labor order will be established through the Autonomous Improvement Support Project for Working Conditions.”
