A man in his 20s has been arrested on charges of damaging a police bus related to the decision to impeach former President Yoon Suk-yeol.
Judge Yeom Hye-soo of the Seoul Central District Court issued a warrant for the arrest of a man in his 20s, identified as A, who faces charges of damaging special public property, stating around 5 p.m. that there is a risk of flight.
Earlier, A was accused of breaking the windows of a police bus parked near the Constitutional Court, where a rally against impeachment was held, at around 11:28 a.m. shortly after the court made its decision to impeach former President Yoon on the 4th.
The police were unsuccessful in apprehending A at the scene, but they arrested him after tracking him down. The police applied for an arrest warrant for A the day before. Judge Yeom conducted a pre-arrest interrogation for A around 2 p.m. on the same day.
