Moon Hyung-bae, acting chief justice of the Constitutional Court, expressed gratitude to journalists and police the day after President Yoon Suk-yeol's removal ruling.
According to the Constitutional Court on the 5th, Acting Chief Justice Moon noted after the ruling on the previous day, “I thank the journalists who provided diligent coverage to ensure the impeachment trial process went smoothly, and the DAEWON officers who guaranteed the safety of the court.”
He added, “The dedicated constitutional researchers and enthusiastic court office staff also contributed to the smooth conclusion of the impeachment trial.”
The Constitutional Court closed its permanent briefing room after issuing the removal decision on that day.
