Anti- and pro-impeachment groups regarding President Yoon Suk-yeol continued their 'public struggles' even on the last day of March.
On the 31st, the ‘Immediate resignation of Yoon Suk-yeol and emergency actions for social reform’ gathered around 7:30 p.m. at the Dong-simja-gak in Gyeongbokgung and Exit 5 of Sinchon Station, then marched respectively to the Constitutional Court and the Korean National Police Agency.
The five opposition parties participated after holding a nationwide rally to urge impeachment in front of the Dong-simja-gak. According to unofficial police estimates, 3,000 people participated in the march. A candlelight action took place at 7 p.m. at Songhyeon Green Park, where an unofficial police estimate of 1,000 people held a ‘Candlelight Cultural Festival to remove Yoon Suk-yeol and dissolve the People Power Party.’
Under the leadership of Pastor Jeon Kwang-hoon, the Liberty Unification Party and others are currently conducting an overnight rally against impeachment in front of Exit 5 of Anguk Station near the Constitutional Court. The groups that have been holding overnight rallies for over 20 days announced that they would expand the scale of the overnight rallies starting today.
