The government will provide about 3 billion won in support to Myanmar, where a strong earthquake occurred.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted on the 29th that it will initially support $2 million through international channels for humanitarian assistance in response to the earthquake damage in Myanmar. The Ministry expressed hope that this will aid efforts to save lives in the affected areas and stated, "We will closely monitor the damage situation and consider additional support if necessary."

On the 29th (local time), the Myanmar military regime announced that 1,200 people have died and 2,376 have been injured due to the earthquake for the second consecutive day. Earlier, around 12:50 p.m. the previous day, an earthquake with a magnitude of 7.7 occurred 33 km southwest of Mandalay, Myanmar's second-largest city, in central Myanmar. The earthquake caused significant damage, including collapsed buildings and people being trapped. The Myanmar military regime has requested support from the world for large-scale earthquake damage recovery. The international community has begun emergency assistance, sending aircraft and relief teams.
