Mr. A, who claimed to be Kim Sae-ron's husband, released a statement along with a marriage certificate issued on the 25th in New Jersey through the YouTube channel Garosero Research Institute.

Mr. A stated that he met Kim Sae-ron through a mutual acquaintance in November 2024, quickly became close, and got married in January, just two months into their relationship. The marriage registration form he released indicates that the registration was submitted on January 7, and it was approved three days later on January 10.

However, Mr. A indicated that due to difficulties such as a long-distance relationship and personality differences, he had to proceed with the annulment of the marriage, and he reported that Kim Sae-ron passed away in Korea during that period.

He also denied allegations of assaulting Kim Sae-ron and coercing her into marriage due to abortion. Mr. A said, "I live in a quiet multi-family apartment. With poor soundproofing, if an assault occurred, the neighbors below could immediately report it," adding, "Moreover, in the U.S., assault is a serious crime."

Additionally, he said, "I met Kim Sae-ron a total of four times from November 2024 to February 2025, and except for the first meeting, I had to work, so Kim Sae-ron came to the U.S. every month," questioning, "If there had been assault or confinement, why would Kim Sae-ron voluntarily come to the U.S.?"

He also claimed regarding the allegation that he knew the passwords to Kim Sae-ron's mobile phone as well as her social media accounts and managed her posts and contacts, that this was a measure for trust between spouses and that Kim Sae-ron agreed to it.

On January 6, Kim Sae-ron posted a photo with a man accompanied by the caption "Marry," which was deleted in a minute. Later on January 8, the photo spread through online communities and social media, sparking rumors of marriage. At that time, Kim Sae-ron explained, "It was a photoshoot with acquaintances."

Kim Sae-ron's mention of having an abortion in a phone call with a friend is also said to be baseless, noting, "The first meeting was in November, and we actually started a serious relationship at the end of November when Kim Sae-ron visited the U.S., so the timing doesn't match," adding, "Kim Sae-ron was not considering motherhood and was taking birth control pills."

He emphasized, "The claims that I married Kim Sae-ron through pregnancy, threats, etc., are acts that severely insult Kim Sae-ron," and asked, "Who would marry under threats? We loved each other and I can provide evidence that Kim Sae-ron actively agreed to the marriage."

Earlier, YouTuber Lee Jin-ho, who was sued for defamation by Kim Sae-ron's family, claimed on his YouTube channel on the 19th that Kim Sae-ron had married in the U.S. and had also been pregnant, releasing related transcripts. A person who claimed to be Kim Sae-ron's ex-boyfriend also appeared, stating, "Kim Sae-ron's death was due to her family and husband."
