The Ministry of Employment and Labor noted on the 21st that 88,295 people found jobs using the artificial intelligence (AI) job matching service from January to November last year. This is a 25% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

The AI job matching service recommends suitable jobs based on the information entered by job seekers and informs corporations of job seekers that match their job postings.

Looking at the age range of those employed through AI job matching last year, the largest group was in their 50s with 25,699 people (29%). This was followed by those in their 40s (21,733 people, 25%), 60s (14,070 people, 16%), 30s (13,484 people, 15%), and those under 20 (13,309 people, 15%).

The AI job matching service can be accessed on the online employment service integrated platform 'Employment 24.' Employment 24 is a 24-hour online employment center that integrates job placement, unemployment benefits, employment incentives, vocational training, and other administrative functions. As of January 15 this year, the cumulative number of members exceeded 10 million.

The employment support policy director of the Ministry of Employment noted, 'We will strengthen the recommendations of the most suitable jobs and vocational training for job seekers by applying AI more broadly and enhance the services to enable small and medium corporations to hire suitable talents.'
