AeiROBOT, a humanoid robot specialized startup, announced on the 11th that it has successfully secured 10 billion won in Series A funding. AeiROBOT achieved a total of 13.5 billion won in cumulative investments, successfully securing Series A funding just one year after attracting 3.5 billion won in seed round investment last year.
This investment included participation from new investors such as Bon Angels Venture Partners, the Korea Development Bank, NH Venture Investment, and Innopolis Partners, as well as follow-up investments from existing investors Hana Ventures, SGC Partners, and Gauss Capital Management.
AeiROBOT is a spin-off from the laboratory of Professor Han Jae-kwon in the Robotics Department at Hanyang University ERICA. It has a diverse product lineup, including the biped walking humanoid robot 'Alice,' the welcome robot 'Amy,' and the companion robot 'Eddie.' The company aims to enhance the performance of humanoid robots and reduce manufacturing expenses through its self-developed third-generation linear actuators.
AeiROBOT has been recognized for its technological prowess this year with outstanding results on the global stage. In May, it participated in GTC 2025 'INNOVEX 2025' in Taiwan at the invitation of NVIDIA, winning both the 'NVIDIA Award' and the 'Okinawa Innovation Award.'
NVIDIA officially mentioned AeiROBOT as a company that adopted the 'Isaac GR00T' model early. Utilizing the Isaac GR00T AI platform optimized for humanoid whole-body control, it supports the humanoid robot 'Alice' in understanding natural language commands and executing complex tasks in industrial settings. AeiROBOT has been selected for NVIDIA's promising technology startup support program, the 'NVIDIA Inception Program,' securing opportunities for technical consultation and global partnerships.
AeiROBOT is also participating in the 'K-Humanoid Alliance' launched under government leadership. AeiROBOT CEO Eom Yoon-seol has been appointed as a Commissioner of the K-Humanoid Alliance General Committee, playing a leading role in the development of the domestic humanoid industry.
Eom Yoon-seol, CEO of AeiROBOT, said, “The solution to save our economy from the productivity decline crisis caused by the population cliff is robots,” adding, “Through this Series A investment, we will secure a leading position in the global humanoid robot market based on AeiROBOT's differentiated technological capabilities.”
