Samsung Biologics announced on the 9th that it will participate in the '2025 BIO International Convention' (BIO International Convention·BIO USA), the world's largest bio-pharmaceutical fair.
The BIO International Convention is an event organized by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization held annually in June, rotating among major bio clusters in the United States, where stakeholders from the global bio-pharmaceutical industry gather to discuss partnerships.
This year's event will be held from the 16th to the 19th (local time) at the Boston Convention & Exhibition Center in Massachusetts under the theme 'The World Can’t Wait.' This year, more than 20,000 industry stakeholders are expected to attend.
Samsung Biologics is the only domestic corporation to set up a solo booth for 13 consecutive years, promoting its global bidding competitiveness. The company has also set up a 167㎡ booth at the entrance of the exhibition hall, where foot traffic is the highest. Here, they plan to install advanced exhibits such as an LED wall and interactive touch screens to vividly convey its contract development and manufacturing organization (CDMO) competitiveness and new facilities and services. Through this, they aim to emphasize 'the use of digital technology,' a key industry topic, and enhance their innovative brand image for the future.
In addition, the strategy is to expand contact points with global clients by placing promotional banners prominently at the skybridge visible from the entrance of the exhibition hall and the stairs leading to the main event hall. A company official noted, 'The goal is to expand awareness and market share in the global contract development and manufacturing (CDMO) market, including the United States, by broadening touchpoints with global clients through diverse content.'
Samsung Biologics currently serves 17 out of the top 20 global pharmaceutical companies as clients. The company began full operations at its fifth factory, with a capacity of 180,000 liters, in Songdo, Incheon, last April, securing the world's largest production capacity of 784,000 liters. The company plans to add three more factories by 2032 to solidify its position as the leader in not only production capacity but also market share (currently ranked 4th).
