The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety announced on the 5th that the food manufacturing and processing company Mother Goose produced and Pulmuone's subsidiary Foodmoss distributed and sold "high-calcium strawberry cream roll cake" and "high-calcium Korean wheat chocolate banana bread," where the food poisoning bacteria Salmonella were detected.

The Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has ordered the suspension of sales and recall of the two products. This recall was carried out after the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency, and local governments conducted an investigation into the cause of food poisoning that recently occurred at two group meal centers in Chungbuk. According to the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, the same genetic type of Salmonella (Salmonella enteritidis) was found in patients who showed symptoms of food poisoning from the two products provided as meals.

Foodmoss stated that it has completely suspended the delivery of the two products and has voluntarily recalled and disposed of all products already delivered.
