Daewoong Pharmaceutical announced on the 5th that its high-purity, high-quality botulinum toxin, "Nabotah," has entered Qatar for the first time in the country.
The company recently held a launch event for Nabotah in Doha, Qatar, marking its official release. With this launch, Nabotah has entered all three Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations (Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates), considered key markets in the Middle East. The Gulf Cooperation Council member states are all oil-producing nations with high income levels, and there is significant interest in beauty and cosmetic procedures, indicating a strong potential for growth. Exchanges based on similarities in language and culture are also active.
Qatar is a high-income country with a per capita gross domestic product (GDP) of about $80,000 as of last year, and demand for premium botulinum toxin is rapidly increasing. Along with the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, Qatar holds significant influence in the Middle East and North Africa region.
Daewoong Pharmaceutical and its partners commemorated this with a launch symposium held at the St. Regis Hotel in Doha on the 30th of last month. Approximately 200 local medical professionals attended the event, where the excellence and differentiated procedure techniques of Nabotah were introduced.
According to the company, Nabotah is the optimal product for precise procedures that control both wrinkles and facial contours through the "Nabo-Lift" technique, which involves injecting toxins minimally into the skin layer to achieve quick and accurate effects. Nabo-Lift is a proprietary procedure developed by Daewoong Pharmaceutical that induces lifting, wrinkle improvement, and collagen generation by micro-injecting botulinum toxin into the skin layer.
Daewoong Pharmaceutical plans to expand its brand recognition by launching campaigns linked to differentiated techniques like Nabo-Lift across Qatar and the UAE in the future, while also continuing to strengthen its cooperation with local partners.
Yoon Jun-soo, head of the Nabotah business division, noted regarding future strategies, "This launch signifies the addition of Qatar, one of the key countries in the Middle East market, as a strategic base," and added, "We will actively expand our business throughout the Middle East based on Nabotah's quality competitiveness and proprietary techniques like Nabo-Lift."
