Cardiac rehabilitation helps prevent disease recurrence and contributes to improved survival rates. However, few patients complete all 36 sessions. Samsung Medical Center was the first in Korea to introduce a cardiac rehabilitation program. The hospital noted, "This is a meaningful achievement created together by patients and medical staff."
Seoul National University Hospital announced on the 5th that it has signed a business agreement with the University of Massachusetts Chan Medical School to develop gene therapies for rare diseases and facilitate exchanges of talent. The two sides will conduct research on rare diseases based on gene and cell therapies. They plan to jointly develop therapies and promote research exchanges and the co-hosting of academic conferences.
Hallym University Chuncheon Sacred Heart Hospital announced on the 5th that it recently held a donation bazaar with Beautiful Store Chuncheon. Faculty and staff donated over 1,000 items, including clothing, books, kitchenware, household goods, appliances, and miscellaneous goods. The revenue of 7.24 million won will be used for the urgent living expenses of hospital patients. The hospital explains that this is part of its ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management to recycle resources and assist vulnerable groups in the local community.
Cha Bio F&C announced on the 5th that its pet nutrition brand Pet Seven has launched "Omega 3 Plus Soft Chews." They contain Icelandic omega-3 fish oil and vitamins. Made from jerky rather than capsules, they are easy for pets to eat. There are two types: venison and salmon.
