This spiral galaxy is known as 'UGC 1810' and is characterized by its glowing blue ring. It consists of clusters of bright, hot young stars that have formed over millions of years. The interior of the red-glowing galaxy is older and appears to be intertwined with cold filament dust like a tangle. UGC 1810, while not shown in the photograph, is part of 'Arp 273' along with 'UGC 1913', which is located just below it. It is positioned about 300 million light-years away in the direction of Andromeda.
