Quantum computing specialist Norma announced it will launch an 84-qubit quantum cloud service in partnership with the U.S. quantum company Rigetti Computing. Norma signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Rigetti Computing at the international conference 'Q2B Tokyo 2025.' Rigetti will support Norma with the 84-qubit quantum computer, and Norma plans to integrate it with the quantum program development and execution environment known as 'Q Platform' to provide a cloud service.

The Korean Institute of Materials Science announced it signed a business agreement on the 13th with the Institute of Metal Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences to enhance collaborative research and expand the exchange of core personnel. Through this agreement, the two institutions will cooperate to establish a strategic cooperation system in advanced materials technology and prepare personnel exchange programs.

Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH) announced that Lim Seung-hyun from the Department of Environmental Engineering received the Minister of Oceans and Fisheries Award, which is given to honor the future marine science and technology people, at the 2025 Korea Marine Science and Technology Council Joint Academic Conference. This award is presented to researchers who have published excellent academic papers to foster and support early-career researchers in the field of marine science and technology. Lim received the award for scientifically elucidating the process by which mercury, a global harmful substance, enters the Arctic ecosystem, contributing to the understanding of marine environmental pollution.
