The Nuclear Safety And Security Commission announced on the 14th that it held a roundtable for developers of innovative small modular reactors (i-SMR). This roundtable was organized to listen to various opinions from developers of innovative small modular reactors, including those from the innovative small modular reactor technology development project group and design and manufacturing companies, and to reflect these opinions in the safety regulatory system. The commission stated, "We will actively perform our role as a regulatory agency to ensure that innovative small modular reactors achieve the highest level of safety and that commercialization does not get delayed."

The Korean Intellectual Property Office announced on the morning of the 14th that it held the Industrial Property Rights Dispute Mediation Committee at the Chosun Palace Seoul in Gangnam. This system resolves intellectual property disputes, such as patents, trademarks, and trade secrets, through dialogue and agreement between the parties with expert assistance. Attendees at the ceremony included Kim Won-ki, head of the Korean Intellectual Property Office, Oh Min-seok, head of the Seoul Central District Court, and Kim Yong-sun, head of the Korea Intellectual Property Protection Agency. Patent attorneys Jung Yong-ki, Jung Hae-yang, and attorney Lee Ji-eun received awards for successfully leading dispute settlements.

The Korea Institute of Radiological and Medical Sciences announced that it held a seminar on the latest research trends in life science and to explore future innovation strategies on the 13th. In the seminar, Kim Jang-sung, former head of the Korea Research Institute of Bioscience and Biotechnology, presented, followed by an introduction to the latest research trends in the life sciences field by the Korea Institute of Radiological and Medical Sciences.

The National Research Council of Science and Technology (NST) announced on the 14th that it held the 'Grant-funded Research and Development AI Seminar' at the Sejong National Research Complex. Major research institutes, including ETRI, the Korea Energy Research Institute, the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), the Korea Institute of Science and Technology Information (KISTI), and the Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute, along with several private experts, attended to discuss the current status and cooperation plans in the AI field. NST Chairman Kim Young-sik noted, "AI is a strategic technology that will influence the nation's future; therefore, we will take comprehensive actions to ensure that research institutes can establish themselves as key players."
