Physicist Ahn Se-hee, former president of Yonsei University, died at the age of 97 on the morning of the 10th. The deceased was born in 1928 in Yongcheon County, North Pyongan Province, graduated from the Department of Physics at Yonsei University's College of Engineering, received a Master of Science from the same university, and obtained a Ph.D. in Science from Northwestern University in the United States.

The deceased served as the director of the planning office at Yonsei University, dean of the graduate school, vice president for academic affairs, and the 9th and 10th president. Additionally, he was active as the president of the Korean Physical Society, a director of the National Academy of Sciences, a director of the Asia Holdings Theory Center, an advisor to the Korean Federation of Science and Technology Societies, and a founding member of the Academy of Science and Technology.

The funeral will be held at Yonsei University. The memorial service is scheduled for 11 a.m. on the 13th at the Yonsei University Luce Chapel. The mortuary is located at the Severance Hospital funeral home at Yonsei University.
